Our Story

The idea for Loomfolk began with a move across the world.

When I left the United States and settled in the foothills of the Himalayas, I found myself surrounded by beautiful textiles, vibrant colors, and extraordinary craftsmanship. For many years I have been drawn to clothing made from natural fibers and created by people earning a fair wage. I began to wonder: what if I designed my own simple, everyday clothing using handloom cotton and worked with talented women in my community to bring those designs to life? And from there on the idea for Loomfolk was born. To create beautiful, high-quality clothing for women and children using natural fibers, while empowering artisans and creating stable, meaningful income opportunities for women.

About Loomfolk

At Loomfolk, we create thoughtfully made everyday clothing for women and children using small-batch artisan fabrics. Our collections are inspired by the landscapes, textiles, and traditions that shape life here in the foothills of the Himalayas. We believe the things we wear should tell a story. A story of craftsmanship, connection, and mindfulness. We believe in natural fibers and timeless design, keeping both people and planet in mind.

Our Fabric

Our fabrics are sourced from weaving communities in Dehradun and West Bengal, India where generations of artisans continue traditional techniques and craft. Rather than following fast-changing trends, we design simple, yet beautiful pieces intended to be worn often, repaired when needed, and loved for years.

Our collections are released in small quantities and shaped by the fabrics themselves. Because many of the textiles we work with are limited in availability, each collection is naturally unique. Some fabrics may never return. Others may evolve through custom weaving and ongoing collaboration with artisans.

We believe that clothing should feel good to wear, connect us to the people who made it, and fit naturally into everyday life. We hope our garments will be worn often, treasured deeply, and passed along when their story with you or your little one is complete.

Thank you for being here and supporting a slower, more thoughtful way of getting dressed.
